Djarot Wants Valid Data of the Poor from BPS

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat wants Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS) informing the valid data of the poor people. Thus the poverty handling policy can be the right on target.

If there is concrete data from BPS, we can know it from by name, by address, thus we can give policy that specifically raised them (the poor people)

"If there is concrete data from BPS, we can know it from by name, by address, thus we can give policy that specifically raised them (the poor people)," he expressed, at City Hall, Tuesday (7/18).

But he worries the data that surveyed by BPS a few days ago has not been valid.

Informal Sector Managed to Reduce Poverty Potential in Jakarta

"Talk about poverty, most of the poor people in Jakarta is from various people and regions. What I worry about is, the data is not Jakarta ID card," he stated.

Last September, the number of the poor in Jakarta was 368,670 people and 384,300 people in March. That means, there is an increase of about 15,630 poor people.
